Kyozo Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Kyozo is operated by Spheres Community Technology Limited (the “Company”), a company registered in Hong Kong. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use Kyozo, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have. You can contact us at any time at privacy@kyozo.com.

2. The information we collect

We collect only the information we need to operate Kyozo:

• Account identifiers — the email address you sign up with, and, if you sign in with Google or Apple, your display name and profile photo.
• Year of birth — required at sign-up. We use it only for age gating (you must be at least 13) and to determine whether age-restricted content can be shown.
• Content you create on Kyozo — posts, comments, reactions, and community memberships. This content is stored so that other members of the relevant community can see it.
• A Kyozo user ID — assigned to your account. We use it internally to associate your activity with your account across sessions.
• Support correspondence — if you write to us, we keep the message and our reply so we can follow up.

We do not collect: your precise location, your contacts, photos from your library, advertising identifiers (IDFA), biometric data, browsing history outside Kyozo, health or financial information.

3. How we use your information

• To operate the service — sign-in, posting, communities, and notifications.
• To enforce age gating and surface age-appropriate content.
• To respond to support requests.
• To detect and prevent abuse, spam, and security threats.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your personal information for third-party advertising. We do not share your personal information with data brokers.

4. Third-party processors

Kyozo relies on the following service providers to operate. Each is bound by their own privacy policy and only processes data on our behalf:

• Firebase (Google LLC)— Authentication and Cloud Firestore. Stores your account, profile, and the posts and comments you create.
• Google Sign-In— only if you choose to sign in with Google. Google shares your email, display name, and profile photo with Kyozo.
• Sign in with Apple— only if you choose to sign in with Apple. Apple shares an opaque identifier, your email (real or relay), and optionally your name with Kyozo.

5. Data retention and deletion

We retain your account and the content you have posted while your Kyozo account is active. You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. Deletion is immediate: your profile and the posts and comments you have published are removed from Kyozo.

Backups may retain residual copies of deleted data for up to 30 days, after which they are purged. Server logs containing IP addresses are kept for up to 14 days for abuse prevention, then deleted.

6. Your rights

• Access — see your profile and posts at any time inside Kyozo.
• Update — change your display name or other profile fields from your profile screen.
• Delete — remove your account and content from Settings → Delete account.
• Withdraw consent — by deleting your account.
• Contact us — email privacy@kyozo.com for any other request, including a portable copy of your data.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California, additional rights may apply to you under GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA. Contact us at privacy@kyozo.com to exercise them.

7. Children

Kyozo is for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at privacy@kyozo.com and we will delete it.

8. Security

Account and content data is stored with Firebase, which encrypts data at rest and in transit. We restrict access inside the Company to staff who need it to operate or support the service. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we follow industry-standard practices.

9. International transfers

Kyozo is operated from Hong Kong and uses Firebase infrastructure that may store and process data in the United States and other regions. By using Kyozo you consent to your data being processed in these regions.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced inside the app or by email. The “Effective” date at the top of this page will be updated whenever the policy changes.
